Fine Wine and Fabulous Memories

I still can't get over what a wonderful weekend B and I had in Dundee. Between the breathtaking views, delicious local fare and handsome company, I can honestly say I was a bit sad to return to reality. Our bed and breakfast, The Black Walnut Inn, was so charming, and overlooked an endless expanse of vineyards and walnut trees, making it  the perfect afternoon picnic spot. So needless to say, we immediately swapped  out our work clothes for casual attire, and set out to explore the Inn's grounds immediately after arriving Friday afternoon. If you ever find yourself in Oregon, a weekend getaway in wine country is a must. I never thought it was possible, but everyday I fall further in love.

After conquering the hills in my race on Sunday morning, and before returning to Portland, B and I happened upon a deer grazing in front of our Bed & Breakfast's entrance. Last year before departing Oregon, I ran into a deer exploring the maze of grapevines as well, and would like to think both were/are a foreshadowing of more good fortune and adventure to come.
