Portland, Plum Wine & Pebbled Leather.

Another weekend has come and gone, but with it has come a slew of sentimental new memories solidifying my new foundation taking root in Oregon.

On Friday I hopped on a Nike bus bound for Eugene Oregon to attend my first Prefontaine Classic (and make my inaugural pilgrimage to Tracktown USA). I had an absolute blast watching every track and field event featured that weekend with someone very near and dear to me, and even had the opportunity to get a run in around campus and on "Pre's Trail" (albeit much slower than the running superstars I saw this weekend).

After cruising back home on Saturday night, I spent the remainder of my weekend enjoying the return of seasonal weather. I opened my windows wide opened and picnic-ed in my apartment on Saturday eve, and woke up early Sunday morning for a challenging 10-miler through Forest Park. I think one of my most favorite things about the Northwest so far, is that it never truly gets sweltering hot, like the dry heat of Colorado, or the swampy heat of the East Coast. You can feel cool, calm and collected in jeans no matter the weather. With the summery temperatures this past weekend,  felt just as clever in my silk tank, plum wine denim and fun new Alexander Wang purse as I do in a running spandex and sneakers. It was the perfect ensemble that transitioned me from a stroll along the Park Blocks to a date night at the movies later on. I have yet to have a dull moment in Portland. I have captured complete happiness.

P.S. a big thanks to my photographer...
