Breathtaking Bend

After a long drive through East Oregon, my mom and I arrived late Sunday eve in Bend. The terrain was much more arid and sparse in comparison to Portland, but reminded me a lot of Colorado. After unloading the car, we strolled around the town and grabbed some local beers and burgers at the Deschutes Brewing Company. It was just what the doctor ordered after pounding hills earlier that morning!

The next day we headed out on a hike along the Deschutes river. It was the perfect opportunity for some quality mother/daughter time, while also enjoying the breathtaking landscapes and fresh air. After wandering around the trails, we worked up quite an appetite and headed back in town to grab some delicious tacos at the local cantina.
