YSL: The Retrospective

I was able to sneak away over Easter weekend to visit my Mom in Colorado, and had a fabulous time. We visited all my favorite haunts, and even found time for some relaxation and high fashion. We sipped cappuccinos from The Kitchen in Boulder before strolling around the Farmer's Market; enjoyed a night in complete with Margaritas and a plethora of appetizers; and stopped by The Denver Art Museum for the Yves Saint Laurent Exhibit.

If you find yourself in Denver between now and July, DAM is worth a spot on your itinerary. Not only is the museum home to an impressive collection, they are currently the only U.S. city offering a brief exhibit documenting the impressive portfolio of Yves Saint Laurent - spanning over 50 years of his life. The highlight was the wall of tuxedos, little did I know, but Monsieur Laurent was a true renaissance man - he made the first female tuxedo, and released at least one version with every collection he designed.  You can buy tickets to the exhibition here.

  1. What a great exhibit---and I love the classic YSL suits (I am pretty sure that is one of those iconic pieces people dream of!).

Glad you had a nice getaway! I love spending time with my mom (hopefully soon)
