Going on a Trip...

A week from today, Stephen and I leave for a trip to Belgium and The Netherlands. To say I'm excited would be an understatement. I haven't been to Europe for a couple years, and the anticipation of touring around the quaint towns, indulging in regional delicacies and (most importantly) sampling the local shopping scene has left me with butterflies.

Stephen's sister was so sweet to send me a gorgeous leather passport cover to glam up my tourist staples. I look forward to making my entrance into customs with the style and grace reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly. Just looking at it reminds me of head scarves and movie star sunglasses!

Do you have any travel tips for BeNeLux?

  4. I have been to both cities and love them equally!  Don't be scared to try a street vendors waffles in Belgium!  And be sure to visit the parks in Amsterdam.  Have a fantastic time (and don't forget we have plans when you get back...)

  5. Bruges is straight out of a fairytale. I've traveled all over Europe and it's one of the places I *must* get back to before I die. The Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk has the only Michelangelo sculpture taken out of Italy while he was alive, and St Salvator's is absolutely beautiful. In Brussels go to Leonidas for excellent chocolate pralines that are much more affordable and just as good as the more high-end brands. And in Amsterdam make sure you visit the flower markets along the canals! Northern Europe is gorgeous, have a great time :)
