These weeks are flying by - I'm already at the 2 month countdown!
Last weekend I enjoyed a very scenic run from my apartment, across the Brooklyn Bridge and up the Hudson River Park Path all the way to 96th Street, and then down Broadway back to Union Square. It was quite the journey, but it really helped me focus on my timing for the marathon, and was a nice break from the treadmill as it finally broke 30 degrees this weekend. Needless to say, I am anxiously awaiting temperate LA weather for game day on March 20th!
I also was fortunate enough to start up French class at the Alliance Française! My instructor is from the French Alps and is absolutely charming - she spoke only French on the first day of class - I only hope that I can pick it up quickly enough after a few weeks! All of the students in class seem really nice - it's a nice change of pace from your typical college course because everyone is there with the desire to learn French, rather than filling a necessary credit.
With only a few weeks of 2011 under my belt, I'm anxiously awaiting Spring - hopefully between French class and my Marathon training I'll be able to stay sane enough til Jack Frost departs in a few months!
